Dear A&HT Parents,
I am pleased to announce that Brandon Cordes and his fiance, Karla Rodel, have agreed to serve as youth group leaders following their wedding at A&HT. Brandon and Karla met some of our parish youth at our ice skating party in September. The youth were excited to meet Karla and Brandon!
Here’s what I want to know from you: would any of you be willing to host a pumpkin carving event for our youth on October 23rd in the afternoon at the church? Brandon and Karla are in the throws of wedding preparations and won’t be actively working with our youth until after their wedding in mid-October.
I thought it would be neat if we had our youth and their friends bring a pumpkin to the church with their own carving tools/decorations, charge a couple of bucks for pizzas, and have some sort of a prize for the best carved pumpkin. My wife is wise in reminding me that I’m typically pretty tired on Sunday afternoons and that it would be best if I requested assistance. So, what are your thoughts?
